Navigating the holidays with children and pets
Christmas can be the most stressful of all holiday times. In Australia, it’s hot, which can cause it’s own set of issues. Having to go out when you are sweating madly is no ones idea of a good time. It can be quite a frantic time as people try to catch up with friends and family. Once you reach December 1st, the month seems to fly by. Before you know it, it’s the 24th of December. Then can also be family issues. Some people have close families who they love. Others have families that they rarely see. So catching up with them at Christmas creates it own set of challenges.
Your pets are very sensitive to your moods and emotions. If you are feeling stressed and out of sorts around Christmas, then they might start acting up. Our pets often tend to mirror us and can show us what is going on for us, if we are willing to receive their wisdom.
I have created a .pdf with some ideas to help you and your animal friends navigate through Christmas time with joy. If you would like a copy, please use the Contact Us form and put “HOLIDAY STRESS” in the message box.
